Praise the Lord!

I went for my second blood test yesterday. 

• Nurses told me my HCG level should be AT LEAST 250iu/l for them to confirm that I am indeed pregnant. 
• My private gynea told me that if reaches 400iu/l and above it's good.
• Internet says that it should reach an average of 588iu/l for a 20dpo (days past ovulation) test

With all these numbers running in my head, I was anxious from the time I took the blood test till the time they called. It took them almost 5 hours before I got a call.

I felt a huge burden lifted when I heard, congratulations! You are pregnant. Your HCG level is 698iu/l. It's very good. Come back for a scan on 10 Jan to detect the baby's heartbeat.

I am so relieved. So thankful. So filled with joy. I'm happier today than I was when I first tested and saw "PREGNANT" flashed on the pregnancy test kit.

Thank you Father for your faithfulness. Your Word gives life. I receive and declare Your Word that says by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. If we are healed, then we are free from sicknesses and diseases which includes miscarriage. I choose to receive Your wholeness for my body and my life and this pregnancy in Jesus' name.

Oh did I mention that I started talking to the little beings in the womb. And I even prayed with them. I'm starting to enjoy this whole mother-child bonding thingy. 

Can you even tell that I've been so happy since yesterday?!

Living Out Today!

GOOD NEWS!
I'm really happy for I. She's 8 weeks pregnant and baby's healthy! This has been something that she has prayed about for a long time. Our God is faithful. It's nice to have a close friend walk through this season with you. I appreciate her prayers and friendship.

ANXIETY?
As I hear the news of her healthy pregnancy, I can't help but feel anxious about what's happening to mine. Will the HCG level shoot up to a healthy level tomorrow? Will I see this pregnancy to full-term? Will there be complications? Will I be happy for just a moment and be left to deal with the sadness that follows?

MY PRAYER
God, I don't want all these worries. Your Word teaches us not to worry about tomorrow. So Lord, I'll let tomorrow worry for itself. I choose to completely, wholly submit this pregnancy to you 100%. Not just 50% to you and 50% to the doctors, but 100% to you, because I acknowledge that you alone, are the giver and creator of life. You alone are the healer. You alone holds my life in your hands. You alone are my protector. You alone are my Lord, and Savior. So take it all Lord.

You said that if we pray according to your will, you will hear us and answer us. I pray Lord that you hear my heart's desire and bless us with healthy, whole, complete children, a pregnancy that will be carried to full-term with no complications. It is your will to bless us with children. It is your will for us to be fruitful and multiply. So be it Lord, let Your will be done unto my life.

MY DECISION
Most people dwell in the past, worry about tomorrow and suffer through the now. That's what I've been doing. Dwelling in the past report result. Worry about the test result tomorrow. Therefore I am literally suffering now, because I had been so unsettled. This can't be it. I don't want to go through my pregnancy this way.

I want to learn from our past, live in the now and look forward to our tomorrow. There are reports of low HCGs to lead to healthy full-term deliveries. Right now, I'm pregnant and I want to rejoice and bask in this good news. I'll look forward to the positive result that will put my mind at ease tomorrow! Yes. This is the way I want and I choose to live!

Invest in the Solution, not the Problem

With the vast amount of information available online, it's easy to look up for all sorts of reports on the condition that the doctor has diagnosed you to have. I've looked up from 2 cell embryos to low HCG levels. Truth is, all these reports serve absolutely no purpose to your condition. Yes, you probably have a better understanding of the possible best and possible worst of the condition  but it makes no change to what you are going through.

Instead of spending time dwelling and focusing on the problem, why not invest in the solution? A solution? Yes! There is a solution to everything. That solution can be found in the Word of God.

Spending time in prayer, declaring the Word of God into the little lives that are in you are far more effective than drowning your mind with fear and doubt. Prayer works wonders even when you don't feel it. Prayer works wonders even when you don't see anything different happening. It just does. When we pray, something happens in the spiritual realm that burst forth life in the physical realm. We allow God to use us and work through us as we partner with Him in prayer.

If there's any report, condition, fear or doubt that's eating you up slowly, let all of those go. Focus instead on the solution, the finished work of Jesus Christ. Feed your spirit man with uplifting, faith building messages. Bask in His presence. Speak life to your womb!

What is FAITH?

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV)

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (NIV)

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. (NLT)

My description of faith?

Simply believing and acting as though it is even though it is not.

My first pregnacy test taken on 22 Dec showed a bfp (a forum term meaning "big fat positive"). I was overjoyed, relieved, thankful.

Yesterday, we went to the clinic to get a blood test to confirm. Yes, I am indeed pregnant. My world sank when the nurse told me "But your HCG level is way to low. It is only 105.3. A normal HCG should be around 250." So what did all these number means?

To sum it up, I'm on medication to "support" the pregnancy. If the second blood test shoots up to 400 - 500, this pregnancy is viable. If not... it'll likely end up in a miscarriage. 

My entired understanding and practice of FAITH burst into pieces that afternoon. But you know what, all I needed was a mustard seed faith. Even if it's just one tiny piece, that'll do, God will do the rest.

So Lord, just one tiny bit left. Take it all. I choose to trust in you. No more sad reports to people. No more endless googling on the internet about low HCG levels. 

I choose to trust in You, pray and rest in Your presence.
